Marlin's and Mates

Welcome to Marlins and Mates - Your Ultimate Golfing Experience

This year we will be expanding the field of participants. The format will be a four man scramble. When you sign up, please let us know who else is in your foursome or if you will need to be paired up with another group. Different form the first year, this year we will not be making the teams. We will be providing beer, non-alcoholic drinks, food at the turn and dinner afterwards. We will have multiple skill prizes, door prizes, putting contest, hole in one to win a car and special prizes for 1st and last place.

Our History

The Marlins and Mates outing was started in 2023, by the 3 original Marlins, Tyler, Dan, and Chris. We have been close friends for many years and have always wanted to host an event to get all our friends together on the course. Our first event was capped at 28 participants, and last year grew the event to 72 participants. This we are planning to have over 100 golfers!!!

Our Goal

When we first started this event, we wanted to be able to give back to our local communities and those in need. We experienced a devastating loss in December 2023 when Lyn Hellwig passed away from cancer. For those of you who got to personally know Lynn, you know she would love to know we are doing something for those in need. This year we will be raising money by selling tickets for door prizes, 50/50, and pot of gold on a par 3 to make a donation to The 22 Foundation in Lyn's name. The Captains and Guppies

Meet the 2023 Captains!! Each year the winners will be awarded with captains hats and the last place team will be awarded guppy hats. Looking forward to seeing who will be our 2025 Captains!
